BP1 Welcome - How quickly we change!

I have two grandchildren and they are both adventurous and lively and very willing to try all new things no matter how dangerous.  Do they think about what will happen if they do a back hand spring, even at the age of six?  Do they feel they can't try to go down the biggest mountain at the ski area?  Do they even think of all of the obstacles in their way when they put on roller blades and dash wildly down the bumpy old sidewalk?  I don't think so.  They have no fear.  They can do anything and go anywhere and they are pretty sure they will make it.
So the question is when did that stop?  At what age did you start "thinking" about everything and wondering if you would succeed before you even started?
I love an adventure. I want to learn and try new things.  Every time I watch the kids playing and experiencing their "aha " moments, I think, I want those too!  I am not done -- I don't want to think that my age will stop me from experiencing new adventures.  I feel excited and eager when I am lucky enough to find a new challenge that I can conquer and savor the journey of learning and experiencing.  Writing a blog! Who would think! A few years ago we wouldn't have known what that was, would we! Yet here we are sharing with so many people how we feel and what we care about.  It is powerful.  Yet... to get here we have to overcome some fears... can we even figure out all this mumbo jumbo of technical puzzles? Can we actually allow strangers to critique our thoughts and ideas?
My answer is yes.. so I am giving it a try.
By the way, the lovey design at the top of this blog is a painting that my grandson did, just experimenting with a few bottles of paint!
